Forth draws my attention to the fact that till after my arrival in the Colony he had never been permitted to see the report impugning his conduct- and that the Colonial Secretary then Administering the Government having had the Report nearly three months in his possession had sent it to the Secretary of State accompanied by a statement of his own opinion thereon.
